You will join as the Product Designer in two multidisciplinary squads: Checkout and CDL (Customer Data & Loyalty). Each one of our squads are focused on one phase in the customer journey. The Checkout squad is responsible for customer actions around the Basket, Delivery and Payments for purchases. In e-commerce, although not the face of the product, the checkout functionality might be the most important part of user’s journey that might make or break the conversion. The CDL squad is about customer data and orchestration of this data to enable an effective loyalty program for our customers. Major foci of the CDL squad are on acquisition (attracting relevant users to become members) and retention (engaging users with loyalty services and empowering them in managing their shopping data).
For these two squads, we are looking for a Product Designer to join our team, who can create solutions to ensure an intuitive and seamless checkout experience, while also ensuring they have a good after-checkout experience managing their account.
In your role, you will work in close collaboration with the PO, devs and other stakeholders in setting the strategic direction for the product, turn chaos into patterns using quantitative and qualitative insights and create both meaningful and beautiful interfaces to enable our customers in achieving their goals on our website and apps. Our ideal candidate is the unicorn (yes, we do believe they exist and have a few in the house) who can lead the entire end-to-end design process from research to interaction, to visual and motion design.
Within your time in the Checkout squad, you will use your design skills to help the squad achieve their vision of serving all online customers a flawless, effortless and clear checkout experience.
Within your role as CDL designer, you will design the journey around ‘My account’ area, including creation of account and logging in. You will closely collaborate with the Loyalty team to design de Bijenkorf loyalty programs, including membership, seasonal campaigns, exclusive membership service such as personal styling or access to private events, among others.
